WOW! That’s about all I can say about week 6 of Getting Fit at 50 with Woolx. We had it all here in NY this week. Winter storm Nika blasted us with 15″ of snow, temperatures dipped to -9 below, and just as we got dug out of that, a little Sunday snowstorm dropped 3″ on us! It was a brutal week six but I didn’t miss a day of hitting my 10,000 steps a day goal. As a matter of fact during Sunday’s snowstorm I geared up and walked 6 miles in the serenity of a mellow winter storm. My Woolx merino wool is right there with me the whole way! Without it I don’t know if I would make those 5 AM morning walks in -9 below temps. I earned my steps this week that’s for sure. Now on top of that another storm is eyeing us for the end of this week. It’s to early to tell if anything will come of this low pressure system moving up the coast. I’ll be ready for it if it does.

So how did I do on week 6? Well I was down slightly in average daily steps. According to my UP band I was down 290 steps a day. I’m really pretty pleased with that considering all the snow we had. It really slows you up. Add to this my knee has been acting up but I am only 2 days away from a 30 day streak and I am determined to make it. So here are my stats for week 6:

So again a pretty good week all things considered. I really want to stay above 40 miles a week and once the weather breaks it shouldn’t be a problem. I shot a cool video in the snowstorm and will be posting that shortly.  So until next week here are a few pictures from week 6.
