No More Candy
Well this is about when most people “fall off the wagon” so to speak and slowly start to revert back to their old ways. I am no different it appears and these last few weeks I have started to slip. I’m really having trouble getting fit at 50!
So what’s the problem? Well for me it’s sweets. I slowly start eating them again and can’t stop. Easter really was a setback for me and it got me started down the road of poor nutritional choices. There was candy everywhere! It was like a nightmare to someone like me who loves sweets! When it comes to chocolate, candy, Ice Cream, and other sweets I am simply weak. Once I start I simply keep going. It’s an addiction pure and simple.
So it looks like it’s time to really show some discipline and get back on track. For me the answer is to avoid sweets completely. I just have no will power and can’t eat them in moderation. All other foods I really have no issue with. I can eat one slice of pizza, have 3 chicken wings, and the small burger with no cheese is perfectly fine for me. But put a bag of miniature Peanut Butter cups in front of me and I don’t stop until they are gone!
So lets take a look at the last 3 weeks stats and get it over with:
Week 17 may be my worse week ever. Weight loss has stalled and I have to catch myself and kick it into high gear if I am to meet my goal of losing 25 lbs by July 4th. Saturday is coming and I am making that the start over day. It seems once the weather got nicer I actually started to slack off! I think I need those -6 below days again! My Woolx kept me nice and toasty:

Time to gear up with the lightweight Woolx and get out and enjoy the gorgeous spring which finally has arrived. Wish me luck and hopefully I will get back on track! I have to put an end to all this trouble getting fit at 50! It isn’t going to get any easier! Until then enjoy some nice Spring Pics from my walks!
