Loads Of Snow!
More snow! Week 7 of getting fit at 50 with Woolx included snow, snow, and more snow! What a winter this has been. Thanks to my Woolx, as I write this, I am on a 37 Day streak of 10,000 steps a day! Going from doing very little to walking 5 miles a day since January 1st was quit a lifestyle change. One for the better I will say though! A few nights I struggled to get my 10,000 steps in and the snow and ice did impact my daily average number of steps but I persevered and got the job done. I also injured my knee somehow shoveling snow. That slowed me down a bit also and made a few walks really tough but it wasn’t serious enough to stop me. All in all though the proper gear, Woolx being the first layer of defense, has really been what made it possible to be outdoors in dramatic temperature changes. Without the proper gear I would have been on the couch!
I also received a 500,000 step notification from my UP wristband lifestyle notifications on February 14th. Happy Valentines Day to me!
You will notice the Nov 9, 2011 date. That is when I purchased my original UP band, used it awhile, then it sat unused! So I had a bit of a head start on the 500,000 steps. Still pretty neat to see when you do something everyday how fast it adds up. Slow and steady does win the race.
So now for week 7 stats. Again I was a bit down on steps and it is looking like week 8 will be down a bit also in average steps. I still hit the 10,000 steps a day goal everyday though. So here are week 7 stats:
So I am hanging in there, though just! I have an appointment to get my knee looked at in a week and after I get the all clear from the Doctor I hope to step it up again and get those daily average steps up over 11,000 a day.
